The Department of Theatre and Drama/University Theatre is a collaborative community of artists and scholars -- faculty, staff and students -- aiming to achieve the highest level of excellence in their teaching and learning, research and creative endeavors, and outreach to the community and the state.

A balance of our strong faculty across the department's three areas of Acting/Directing, Design & Technology, and Theatre Research make the Department of Theatre and Drama uniquely positioned to teach and study theatre and drama as a liberal art and teach and practice theatre as a performing art.
